Panzer II - On the Russian Front - David O
The Panzer II deicted here is modeled after the Russian front. This vintage 1/35 Tamiya kit was painted with Tamiya acrylics, washed and dry brushed before being weathered with pastel chalks. A camouflage net (made of medical gauze), some jerry cans and an ammo box was then added for extra detail.
The Panzer IIs were no match for the Russian T-34. They were quickly relegated from combat duties and served as reconnaissance, resupply and infantry support roles.

Tracks (January 14, 2006) - Ronald van Wijk
Stunning work! Espacialy the painting work! Little comment though... The tracks seem to be far too much stretched!! Remember: These tracks are heavy, the gravity will do the rest..... That's the only thing I can complain about!! Keep up the good work!!!!!!!!
The tracks (April 8, 2008) - Michael
The track stretching seems to be a common feature of early Tamiya tracks, with the rubber being made only just long enough to tightly fit to the wheels. Certainly, aftermarket tracks would be a vast improvement on the Tamiya ones.
